Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Albany follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was in the area for an appointment and did a quick search for coffee nearby. This place had the best looking coffee in the photos. I didn’t realize it had a fantasy theme until I walked it. Everyone there was so sweet and great. The lady (Michaela?) helped me figure out what coffee I wanted. The coffee and the salad I got were delicious! (When you get a tiny taste of the salad dressing before you even try the coffee and it tastes amazing, I think that’s a good sign.) Michaela’s husband checked on me while I was still seated, and I got a goodbye from the remaining staff members when I was walking out the door. I’m currently here on my second visit a few days later, and Michaela remembered me and talked with me cheerfully again. :) 10/10 Try it out!

I’ve been to a lot of game stores, and this is easily one of my favorites. They run events for Magic: The Gathering and other card games throughout the week, but what really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere. People are friendly and welcoming, and it’s easy to find a game even if you come by yourself. It doesn’t have that cliquey feeling that some game stores can have. It’s also surprisingly family-friendly. They have a play kitchen and other toys in the back, so parents can actually get a game in while their kids stay occupied. The cafΓ© is worth visiting on its own. Everything I’ve tried has been excellent. Today I had a warm cranberry orange scone with frosting that had just come out of the oven, and it was so good. I also ordered the banana bread iced matcha with cinnamon cold foam, and I’m already thinking about getting another one next time. They also have sandwiches and plenty of other food options. Whether you’re looking for a place to play cards, grab lunch, or just enjoy a really good drink, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out.

A truly amazing experience with a one of a kind coffee shop. You don’t find unique coffee shops like this. 100% will be going back to visit Austin and have him make me coffee. Coffee was perfect for myself and my wife exactly how we like it.
